This could be a great app....could be a great service but isnt. Why, you ask? Because Adobe has built the entire workflow based on a false assumption: that every potential signer has an email address. I realize that it is increasingly rare for someone NOT to have an email address, but there is a huge market segment that doesnt. Consider the elderly, for example. I work for a Meals on Wheels service and our case managers must be able to obtain a signature on the application from the individual when they are at their home. But the Adobe Fill and Sign service requires that you enter an email address for each signer. So, although the app does allow for "in person" signing, you can only access the signature page after having specified the email address of the signer. If the app would allow for an individuals identity to be entered with the name and address vs. email, the app could completely revolutionize our workflow. But as it is, it doesnt help us one iota.
This seems like such an obvious thing that it is difficult for me to fathom that this isnt an option. The other signing services we have looked at, including the excellent "SignEasy" app, allow it. Maybe Adobe will read this review and consider adding alternative ways to specify an identity besides email......or maybe they wont. I am sure that their competition like Docusign and Echosign are happy to scoop up the customers who are left behind by this poor decision.
